A Seminary for Challenging Times

In a time of disruption and uncertainty Knox Seminary finds itself in a unique and exciting position. Our mission to train men and women to declare and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world that seems to be in greater need than in recent history continues unabated.

At Knox, our students are progressing in their studies without major disruption. Our online courses continue as always, and for our residential students we are providing live stream opportunities.

Why is Knox positioned so well? Nearly ten years ago Knox acted on their vision to transform the way we educate Christian leaders by integrating seminary education into their places of ministry. Since then, we have built a robust online learning platform to educate hundreds of students in their contexts. Most alumni have gone on to careers in education and ministry, while others have continued on to doctoral programs.

We are fulfilling God’s calling on this great seminary by embracing distance education, not as a “Plan B” or because it’s the only available option, but because it’s central to our mission. Our focus is on equipping our students for effective ministry where they serve and while they serve.

  • We believe students should be able to stay where God has already called them, whether that is here in S. Florida, in Spokane, Shanghai, Singapore, or South Africa.
  • We believe students thrive when they are able to integrate their education with their current ministry context.
  • We believe church and ministry leaders should be involved in the spiritual and pastoral maturation of the students.
  • We believe Knox’s programs will be sharpened and strengthened by engaging with the broader church community, listening to their feedback, and responding with an education that meets the most pressing and ever-changing needs of the church today.

In his letter to the Ephesian church, Paul emphasizes the importance of equipping the saints for effective Gospel ministry (Eph. 4:11-14). No virus should disrupt or delay this. In fact, this is a crucially important time to be equipped as a ministry leader to proclaim the Good News to your community.

We know plans change, but God’s call remains the same. Knox Seminary is ready to equip you in your calling for these challenging times. We invite you to talk with a knowledgeable representative on our team who can answer your questions, describe how our programs fit your needs, and get you started in continuing your education today.
