— Donor Advised Fund Grants —
Recommend a grant to Knox in three steps.
Direct your DAF sponsor to send a grant directly to the Seminary — using funds already set aside for charitable purposes.
— Why a DAF Grant —
The vehicle is convenient. The gift is consequential.
A Donor Advised Fund lets you make charitable contributions, take an immediate tax deduction, and recommend grants to the organizations you support over time. For Knox, a DAF grant is among the cleanest ways to give: the funds arrive directly from a qualified charitable sponsor, and your stewardship is preserved exactly as you intend it.
— The Process —
Three steps, fewer than ten minutes.
Step One
Log in to your DAF sponsor
Sign in to the portal of the organization that holds your Donor Advised Fund — Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, the National Christian Foundation, or your community foundation.
Step Two
Recommend a grant to Knox
Search for or enter our legal name, Knox Theological Seminary, and EIN, 46-1812625. Specify the amount, the designation (Equip Fund, Annual Appeal, Edinburgh Society, or unrestricted), and any anonymity preferences.
Step Three
Let us know
Sponsors generally release the grantee’s name to us, but not always the donor’s. A short note to the Office of Development — even just an email saying “a DAF grant is on its way” — ensures proper acknowledgement and stewardship.

— If Your DAF Sends Paper Checks —
Some sponsors mail a physical check — that is fine.
Direct the check to be made payable to Knox Theological Seminary and mailed to the address above. If you can request a memo line designation (Equip Fund, Annual Appeal, Edinburgh Society, or unrestricted), it ensures the gift is processed exactly as you intend.
