Lindsay Bruce teaches AP Biology, Honors Biology, and Biology at Westminster Academy. She holds a PhD from Florida Atlantic University in Integrative Biology, where she attempted to find the fountain of youth in fruit flies. Failing that, she added knowledge to the unfolding biological story of oxidative stress and its role in aging and neurodegeneration. She has presented and published on a variety of topics, including aging, the gut microbiome, and biotechnology-related teaching practices. Lindsay lives with her high school sweetheart and Knox seminary professor husband, Josh, and their two rambunctious boys.
