Program Description

The Certificate in Biblical Languages is an 18-hour certificate designed to ground students in responsible exegetical and hermeneutical engagement with the Christian scriptures. The goal of this certificate is to provide students these critically important skills for a lifetime of effective biblical study.

Admission to Program

Application to the Certificate program at Knox is open to students who have completed a bachelor’s degree or beyond. Interested students should contact us using our online inquiry form. The admission requirements include a completed application, application fee, transcripts from all previous institutions attended, personal testimony, and a pastoral reference.

Course Methodology

The requirements of this certificate will be made available entirely online. The sequence of courses is flexible; however, students are encouraged to begin with mastering the biblical languages prior to hermeneutics and elective courses.
