Knox Theological Seminary and Logos Bible Software are offering students in the Doctor of Ministry program the opportunity of a lifetime. To jumpstart the joint program, Knox is giving away a comprehensive John Piper scholarship, valued at $18,000, to one qualified student. A qualified student is one that meets all of the academic requirements for admission into the program. The winner can choose from either the popular Biblical Preaching and Teaching track or the new Theological Exegesis track. All tuition, Logos Bible Software: Portfolio Edition, and fees are covered.  A student must apply, be accepted, and enroll at Knox Theological Seminary as a full or part-time student or be in the process to be eligible for the scholarship. For more information on the joint Doctor of Ministry programs with Logos Bible Software, please visit Dmin.me.

The DMin scholarship is named after John Piper, a well-known and gospel-driven Reformed preacher. Piper currently serves as the Pastor for Preaching and Vision of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1994, Piper founded Desiring God Ministries that exists, “to help people everywhere understand and embrace the truth that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.” The Desiring God website contains contains a resource library of 5000+ resources available at no charge, including 30+ years of sermons, books, articles, videos, and blogs by John Piper. As a prolific author, some of his most well-known books are When I Don’t Desire God: How to Fight for Joy, Desiring God: Meditations of a Christian Hedonist, Don’t Waste Your Life, Think: The Life of the Mind and the Love of God, just to name a few. Piper’s commitment to Christ-centered and gospel-driven preaching is the heart of Knox’s mission in training ministers in the Doctor of Ministry program.

Knox is introducing the Theological Exegesis Track with Logos Bible Software. Dr. Michael Allen is the coordinator for this specialized track. “One of the most exciting developments in recent years has been the explosion of interest in theological interpretation of Scripture,” Dr. Allen says, ” I’m thrilled that Knox Theological Seminary is offering the first Doctor of Ministry in theological exegesis, believing that developing theological leadership is essential for the church’s mission.” The specialized Theological Exegesis track is the first one of its kind available at the Doctor of Ministry level.
